NPI Verification
All physician accounts must verify their National Provider Identifier before accessing any patient data. This ensures only licensed U.S. providers use the clinical portal.
Why NPI Verification Is Required
Patient health data is sensitive. Requiring NPI verification creates an auditable, standards-based proof of clinical licensure before granting portal access. It also enables patients to verify their provider's identity before linking their account.
The Verification Process
Go to pancreatrack.com/physician/register. Enter your name, email, specialty, and practice name.
Your 10-digit NPI is validated against the CMS National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES) public database in real time.
The name and specialty on your PancreaTrack account must match the NPPES record. Mismatches are flagged for manual review.
Successful verification unlocks your dashboard and the ability to link patients. Manual review cases are typically resolved within 1 business day.
Any U.S.-licensed provider with an active individual NPI (Type 1) may register. This includes gastroenterologists, surgeons, primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants involved in pancreatic disease management.

Privacy of Verification Data
NPI numbers are public record. PancreaTrack stores your NPI alongside your account for the purpose of identity verification and display to patients who are considering linking their account. Your NPI is not shared with third parties or used for any other purpose.
